  | Mei was born and raised in a small town abutting the Himalayas called E'mei in the Southwestern Chinese province of Sichuan. She came to the US in 1997 to complete her undergraduate degree in Montana. She now works as a Research Director for Gartner. Since moving to Maine in 2010, Mei has come to understand and express her rich inner life through making art. Her most recent project is a collaboration with another artist about the concept of being "At Home." She paints in acrylic and creates mixed-media art.
