Bazia returns to New Mainers Speak to talk about his hopes for the South Sudanese Community Association of Maine as well as his understanding of South Sudan today. He has a passion for uniting youth who are living around the world as part of the South Sudanese diaspora.
He is joined in the studio by Ann Smith. She is a retired English teacher who has collaborated with Bazia to create several publications. She describes and reads excerpts from their two latest projects: Clara's Dream and Monkey.
Bazia and Ann also work together on Project Bazia and a mentorship program at Portland High School called "Bright Future".
