Janet was born in London, England, educated in Accra, Ghana and then moved back to Surrey in London where she became a sought-after soft furnishings designer. In 2003 her husband's job brought them to South Portland, ME where she has continued her business called Alpha Decor and added millinery (hat making) to her skill set.
