This week former guests of New Mainers Speak were invited to say a few words about their mothers and to dedicate a song in their honor. The result is a collection of world music sending messages of love and appreciation.
During the production process I realized that we Mainers, regardless of where we were raised, tended to have mothers who wished for meaningful opportunities for us in life. Some of these women have long since died, some live here in Maine today, and some live in countries far away. And yet, here we are together, living out those dreams today. May we all continue to dream big for our children. Happy Mother's Day to all.
