  Music: Georges' nephew, Israel Mbonyi, sings his recently produced song called "Number One." | Georges was born into a loving family in an isolated village comprised of 10 small houses built on dirt floors in the southern Kivu Province of Eastern DR Congo. His life was forever changed by discrimination and war. He has written a memoir to capture the rituals and traditions of his tribe as well as to call attention to the 5.4 million people who have died in the Central African region's conflicts over the past 17 years. Presently, Georges lives in Portland with his wife and two young children and he is an award-winning Property Manager for Avesta Housing. |
