Picture
Orson Horchler often goes by his artist name Pigeon.  He was born to immigrant parents from Hungary and France in Philadelphia, PA, but then was raised from the age of three in a suburb of Paris, France.
Orson's upbringing gave him a unique perspective on immigrants when he moved back to Maine--a US citizen with an accent.
He is a finish carpenter (Blue Jay Carpentry), street artist, musician and songwriter. Pigeon says he "creates community by confronting the customs, people, laws, institutions, attitudes that tell us that we are not at home in the place we live." His work has most recently been featured in Farmington's Water Bear Confabulum.
